Sunday School

There is a place for you, even if you have never attended Sunday School at FCC before.  Classes begin at 9:45, or come by a little earlier and enjoy fellowship with a cup of coffee or juice and a bite to eat. Check out our Sunday School offerings below.

Nursery Class

Our nursery class is open throughout Sunday School and church worship hours. Caregivers are Dianne Hodges or Carolyn Cummings, both long time members of our fellowship, and Jessica Davenport, who has completed an early childcare program. During Sunday School, ages for this class are birth through 3 years old. During worship, ages expand to include kindergarten.

Beginners Class

Our Beginners class is open to children in Pre-K through 1st grade. This class is taught in rotation by Carla Hutchings, Jeanie Lee, and Allison Smith. This class focuses on teaching children the basics of Biblical stories and Christian actions.

Believers Class

Our Believers Class is open to children in 2nd grade through 5th grade. This class is taught in rotation by BJ Jones and Donna McNair. The curriculum for this class is "Route 66" which provides a basic introduction to the Bible.

"As students journey through this fast-moving survey, they will discover truths and applications that God placed in each book of the Bible. God’s gracious work is clear—from creation to the cross to the consummation of time. " (from Positive Action Bible Curriculum

Youth Class

Our youth class is open to teens in 6th grade through 12th grade. This class is taught in rotation by Anne Brooker, Rebecca Garbutt, and Trey Sheppard. The curriculum for this class is "Bible in Life" by David C. Cook. This curriculum focuses on teaching students by helping them connect with each other and God's Word by studying together and finding key themes and exploring those themes through activities. It also helps them respond to God's Word by applying those principles to life.

Purpose Driven Class

The Purpose Driven class is open to adults. The curriculum often follows the International Sunday School lesson in a discussion format. However, for variety, this class sometimes engages in a book study or talks about a television series.

Jubilee Class

The Jubilee class is open to adults. Wyman Hodges leads the class as they study the workbook Abiding in Christ by Maxie Dunnam.
